Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions ? Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan ? Reigniting the entrepreneurial spirit in Europe

The Commission has approved a Communication setting up an Action Plan for 2020 which aims at reigniting the entrepreneurial spirit in the European Union and increasing the number of entrepreneurs to bring Europe back to growth and higher levels of employment. This Action Plan sets out a renewed vision and a number of measures to be taken at both European Union and Member States? level to support entrepreneurship. It is based on three pillars, namely (i) developing entrepreneurial education and training ; (ii) creating the right business environment ; and (iii) promotion role models through a positive communication, notably by reaching out to specific target groups such as women, seniors, migrant entrepreneurs or unemployed.
